We provide mothers with the same prenatal diagnostics they would expect at a physician’s office.

On your first prenatal visit:

The first visit takes about an hour and twenty minutes.

We perform a physical exam to check on the mother’s overall health.

We perform routine blood work, and any additional tests informed by the mother’s medical history.

We date the baby using traditional methods, or with a dating ultrasound.

On your second prenatal visit:

Now, we focus on personalized diet teaching and counseling. Then we:

  • Review the lab work from the first visit
  • Measure the fundus (uterus)
  • Check the mother’s vital signs, and the baby’s heart rate
Now the mother can join our group prenatal program for the middle part of her pregnancy. Mothers join together who have similar due dates. The group is part support group, part prenatal visit and part childbirth class. Mothers in these groups form strong bonds in our prenatal program.
Some moms continue on with traditional visits, visiting and getting to know all of our midwives.
Most moms get a twenty week ultrasound or anatomy scan of the baby at our North location.
As the big day approaches, moms participating in the group prenatal program return for weekly visits with the midwives at their location.
